Sun all year
Mild winters on the Atlantic coast and in Marrakech: Morocco is a favourite winter escape.
Dialysis and holidays in 10 Moroccan cities
Marrakech
The Red City is Morocco's most famous destination: the souks of the medina, Jemaa el-Fna square at night, gardens and riads, with the Atlas mountains on the horizon.
Agadir
Agadir is Morocco's great beach resort: a 9 km bay, sunshine almost all year and a relaxed seafront promenade, ideal for a winter-sun stay.
Casablanca
Morocco's largest city and economic capital, with the Hassan II Mosque on the ocean, an Art Deco centre and the long Corniche of Aïn Diab.
Fes
Fes el-Bali is one of the largest car-free medinas in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its tanneries, madrasas and nine thousand lanes.
Tangier
At the tip of Africa, facing Spain across the Strait of Gibraltar, Tangier mixes a lively kasbah, Atlantic beaches and a long cosmopolitan history.
Chefchaouen
The blue pearl of the Rif mountains: a small town of blue-washed lanes, mountain views and waterfalls, one of Morocco's most photographed places.
Rabat
Morocco's capital is calm, green and elegant: the blue-and-white Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower and a promenade along the Bou Regreg river.
Essaouira
Essaouira is a laid-back Atlantic port with white-and-blue ramparts, a UNESCO-listed medina, fishing boats and a constant ocean wind.
Meknes
Meknes is the quiet imperial city of Sultan Moulay Ismail, with monumental gates, vast granaries and the Roman ruins of Volubilis nearby.
Ouarzazate
The gateway to the Sahara: kasbahs, film studios and palm groves, at the start of the roads to the Draa valley, the Dades gorges and the dunes.
